Here’s a small decluttering hack that will net save you hours of time and frustration.
Here’s the before photo of my workroom tool box.

In that box are many small tools. Sometimes I can peek in and find one, sometimes I end up dumping out the whole thing.
Remove a half dozen of the commonly used, smaller, lighter tools from the tool chest.
Take a piece of velcro and tape it on the side of the box.
Put a small piece of the matching velcro on the tool.

Put it on the outside of the box and attach the items.
Now you don’t even need to open your tool chest for the smaller items.
Probably not the best if you’re dragging your toolbox around, but for reasonably sedentary tool boxes, this works like a charm - and takes five minutes!
