Getting some items off the walls and removing some curtains in rooms that looked better without them helped declutter a few areas.
My first few tries at removing plastic drywall anchors made quite a mess. I tried pulling on them with a pliers and damaged the wall all around them.
I came up with this method. Perhaps it’s the ’standard’, perhaps not, but it’s worked nicely and produced little mess.
Find an electric drill bit that is slightly larger than the hole of the anchor.
Drill into it, but not too far. About 1/2 way seemed about right.
Wiggle slightly (not too much, you’ll break the drill bit) and pull out the anchor.
Use some spackle, nail repair or drywall mud and you’re done.
